Digital Strategy

Know what to build — and why.

Most digital work fails long before anyone writes code — it fails in the decision about what to build. We start with your business: how it makes money, where the friction is, what your customers actually do, and what your teams are working around. Then we turn that into a roadmap you can defend in a budget meeting.

Is this you?

Signs you need this.

You have a long list of digital ideas and no agreed order for them.

Different teams are solving the same problem in different tools.

A previous digital project shipped but never changed the numbers.

You need to make a build-versus-buy call and can't get to a clear answer.

Leadership wants a digital plan, not a feature list.

What you get

The deliverables.

Current-state assessment

A clear map of the systems, processes and hand-offs you have today — including the manual workarounds nobody documented.

Opportunity model

Each opportunity sized by business impact and delivery effort, so the trade-offs are visible rather than argued.

Prioritised roadmap

A sequenced plan across near, mid and long term, with the dependencies between initiatives made explicit.

Target architecture direction

The shape of the platform you're heading toward, and the decisions that need to be made before you commit to it.

Business case

The value story, cost envelope and measurement plan, in language a finance team will accept.

Success metrics

The specific numbers this work is meant to move, baselined before anything ships.

How we work

The approach.

01

Learn the business

Stakeholder interviews across leadership, operations and frontline teams. We're looking for the gap between how the process is described and how it actually runs.

02

Look at the evidence

Analytics, support tickets, system logs, spreadsheets people maintain by hand. The workarounds tell you where the real problems are.

03

Frame the opportunities

We turn findings into a set of discrete, comparable opportunities — each with an owner, an impact and a rough cost.

04

Sequence and commit

We work with you to agree the order, the first increment, and how you'll know it worked.

Logistics

How we engage.

Team Shape

Strategy lead, business analyst, solution architect, design principal

Common Questions

What clients ask.

Do we have to commit to a build afterwards?
No. The roadmap is yours, and it's written so another partner or your in-house team could pick it up. Most clients do continue with us, but the deliverable stands on its own.
How much of our team's time will this take?
Plan for a half-day workshop up front, then roughly two to three hours a week per key stakeholder for interviews and reviews.
We already know what we want to build. Can we skip this?
Often, yes — and we'll tell you if that's the case. Where a clear brief already exists we'd go straight to Experience Design or Digital Products.
